Pandora is the world’s largest jewelry brand. The company designs, manufactures and markets hand-finished jewelry made from high-quality materials at affordable prices. Pandora jewelry is sold in more than 100 countries through 6,800 points of sale, including more than 2,600 concept stores.
Headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark, Pandora employs 27,000 people worldwide and crafts its jewelry at two LEED certified facilities in Thailand using mainly recycled silver and gold. Pandora is committed to leadership in sustainability and has set science-based targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 50% across its own operations and value chain by 2030. The company is listed on the Nasdaq Copenhagen stock exchange and generated sales of DKK 19.0 billion (EUR 2.5 billion) in 2020.
OUR STORY
The story of Pandora begins in 1982. In a small jewelry store in a humble setting in Copenhagen, Denmark, Danish goldsmith Per Enevoldsen and his wife Winnie began the journey of what would one day become Pandora. From the beginning, they often traveled to Thailand in search of jewelry to import. As demand for their products increased, their focus gradually shifted to wholesaling to customers in Denmark. Meanwhile, the first in-house designer joined the company and Pandora began to focus on creating its own unique jewelry. In 1989, the company decided to start manufacturing its jewelry in Thailand. Today, Pandora manufactures its jewelry in large manufacturing facilities in Gemopolis and Lamphun. In 2000, Pandora's Charm concept was first introduced to the Danish market. Consumers embraced the concept, and in the following years, driven by growing demand, the company began to expand internationally, entering new markets such as the United States in 2003 - now the company's largest market - and Germany and Australia in 2004. In the following years, Pandora rapidly and internationally expanded its market presence.

We consider sustainability across our business, from how we craft our jewellery to the workplace we offer employees. Reducing what we take from the planet, protecting the environment and treating all stakeholders well is key to Pandora’s business success.
We adopt strategies that will minimise our carbon footprint. We innovate to minimise the resources that we use in our products and recycle manufacturing materials where possible to “close the loop”. And we strive to ensure that our employees and suppliers work in safe and fair conditions. These commitments form the basis for our three strategic priorities:
OUR MANUFACTURING FACILITIES
Pandora has been manufacturing its jewellery in Thailand since 1989 when Per Enevoldsen, Pandora's founder and a goldsmith by trade, set up the foundation for the company's crafting facilities in Bangkok. As one of the world's largest jewellery exporting countries, Thailand has a long tradition of high-quality jewellery production. Here, Pandora benefits from strong infrastructure, easy access to raw material suppliers and, most importantly, high-quality craftsmanship from a skilled, passionate workforce.
In 2003, Pandora moved the crafting facilities to the Gemopolis Industrial Estate on the outskirts of Bangkok, and opened a first scale, four-storey, fully-owned crafting facility there in 2005. In 2008, a second manufacturing facility was opened in the same area, followed by more facilities over the years, including our Innovation Centre in 2013. Key to product development, the Innovation Centre is where design, scientific research and technical development come together in a state-of-the-art facility in Bangkok.
In 2016, a new crafting facility in Lamphun, a beautiful province in Northern Thailand, was completed. The facility meets the highest demands regarding CSR and sustainability and has been accredited with the GOLD certification within Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED).
