For spring summer 2015 Clarks are building on their most successful women’s collaboration ever and working for a third season with acclaimed designer, Orla Kiely. The result is a capsule collection that reflects the footwear brand’s passion for craftsmanship while delivering creative flair and style in equal measure. With Kiely’s handwriting instantly recognisable, colour, pattern and texture come together in shoes and sandals that recall classic designs from the 60s and 70s and reimagine them with an unmistakably contemporary twist.

Who is Orla Kiely?
The creative world of Orla Kiely was founded in 1995 to express visually, her love of pattern, colour, texture and rhythm, which as components all play and work together. Her instinctive graphic discipline to simplify and stylise everyday motifs and forms adds another dimension. With clean, orderly repeat constructions and a boldness of scale, her work achieves strength with a very modern quality, while her love of all things mid-century creates charming, uplifting and instantly recognisable prints. From a small collection of accessories, commissioned by Harrods following Orla’s graduation from the Royal College of Art, the range has grown to include a complete readyto-wear collection, homeware and stationery. Through recent key collaborations Orla Kiely has launched a range of eyewear, fragrances, and furniture and has two sell-out, limited edition collections with Uniqlo. After the success of “Pattern”, a coffee-table book celebrating her prints, Orla is currently working on a second book, this time focusing on mid-century houses and design that has inspired her homeware range. Orla Kiely has a series of exciting collaborations launching later this year with Clarks, McLaren and Belkin to name a few.

Who is the Orla Kiely customer?
The Orla Kiely customer is creative, intelligent and stylish. She is not afraid to stand out and does it fashionably. Orla’s core customer is between 25 – 40 years of age. She loves design and appreciates art, photography and film. She is confident and does not follow trends. It is the versatility of Orla Kiely’s fashion collections, which allows her customer to wear it in a truly unique and individual manner. The Orla Kiely customer pays attention to details and it is the combination of luxurious fabric and attention to detail that leads to a loyal following including fashion icons and celebrities such as Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge; Alexa Chung; Kiera Knightley; Zooey Deschanel; Kirsten Dunst; Karen Elson and Tennessee Thomas.
