Copenhagen Fashion Fairs have allied themselves with talented students

Promising Nordic design students will have the great opportunity to showcase their collections to press and potential buyers from all over the world. Designers’ Nest Show & Award The takes place Friday 5thof August 2011 at 3pm in the raw surroundings of Building 55, near CPH Vision Fashion Fair in Oeksnehallen

The Prize
The winner will be presented with a cash prize of 50.000Dkr. intended to allow the winner further to promote his or her talent for design. The Top 3 of the Designers’ Nest will be honoured with an annual subscription of Sport & Street magazine. All participants of the competition will receive an annual digital subscription of Sport & Street magazine.

The Jury
An eminent committee of Danish and international judges will handpick the Designers’ Nest August 11 Winner. With great pride, Copenhagen Fashion Fairs presents the SS 12 Jury:

The SS12 Season
Copenhagen Fashion Fairs is doing everything in their power to help new talent succeed. As attention towards up-and-coming designers (and Scandinavian design in general) is increasing internationally we too are focusing beyond borders. In collaboration with the virtual showroom NOT JUST A LABEL and VOGUE ITALIA we are hoping to build a wider platform from where new visions can be noticed.
And speaking of noticed – it is with great pleasure we witness that a (fashion) star was born in the February 11 edition as winner, Martin Löppe, already are showing solo with a scheduled show during Copenhagen Fashion Week SS12.

The Facts
The Designers' Nest Award was awarded for the first time in February 2005. Created in order to help promote particularly skilled and promising design students develop their talent and build a carrier based on their unique vision and innovation. HRH Crown Princess Mary is patron of Designers' Nest and actively supports and promotes the initiative with her attendance each season.
