New Head of Design for Noa Noa

As of 1 December 2009, the Danish lifestyle brand Noa Noa has appointed Lea Dam Jensen
as its new Head of Design. Lea Dam Jensen has been given overall responsibility for the Noa Noa and Noa Noa miniature brands as well as the latest addition to the family – a baby line.
About the new challenge facing her, Lea says the following: “Noa Noa is a strong brand with a completely unique identity, and I am therefore starting this job with a lot of respect for the brand’s values. However, at the same time I am looking forward to lifting Noa Noa and taking it into a new epoch.”
As for the transition from being independent to Head of Design in a large company, she says: “It is inspiring to be part of a larger organisation where all the business areas are handled by dedicated specialists.”
As for the choice of Noa Noa’s new Head of Design, Brand Director Jacob Sanning Lund comments: “Lea’s task will primarily involve strengthening and modernising the collection within the framework of the Noa Noa universe. Lea has a crucial understanding of the Noa Noa brand, ensuring that the Noa Noa spirit will be developed in all the new measures we decide to implement.”
One of the company’s new initiatives will reach the shops in autumn 2010 when Noa Noa launches a new baby line. The baby line is a natural extension of the brand’s children’s clothing collection, Noa Noa miniature, which is aimed at girls aged 3-12. The baby line will cover the sizes from 3 to 24 months, and thus fills the gap which has so far existed in the childrenswear range.
In the long term, Noa Noa also expects to expand with a home line.
