Photo: Mary Katrantzou has designed the Design Museum’s Christmas tree this year. The ‘tree’ is actually a 2-dimensional projection on the Museum’s outer wall, a vision of Katrantzou’s kaleidoscopic fall/winter 2012/13 collection prints.

“The print was inspired by formal gardens and artful box parterres; these were layered and overlaid to create an intricate maze-like print reminiscent of a hand embroidered lace motif,” said Katrantzou in a press release.

The tree is on display at Design Museum in London until January 9, 2013.
