Assistant Store Manager - (24–32 hours per week)

About the Role

As Assistant Store Manager of the Love Stories Archive Store, you will work closely with the Store Manager to ensure the smooth daily running of the store. You will help lead and support the team, create a great customer experience and contribute to achieving the store's sales targets.

You enjoy being on the shop floor, taking initiative and making sure everything runs smoothly. You will support the Store Manager in daily responsibilities and take charge of the store when they are not present.

Key Responsibilities

Team Support & Leadership

• Support and motivate the sales team on a daily basis.
• Lead by example and create a positive working atmosphere.
• Help train and guide new team members.
• Assist with daily planning and task distribution.
• Take responsibility for the store in the absence of the Store Manager.

Customer Experience

• Create a welcoming and personal shopping experience.
• Help customers find the right products and provide styling advice.
• Build strong relationships with customers.
• Ensure the team delivers excellent customer service.

Sales & Performance

• Work towards achieving the store's sales targets and KPIs.
• Motivate the team to reach their individual and store goals.
• Lead by example on the shop floor and actively drive sales.
• Identify opportunities to improve sales and customer experience.

Store Operations

• Support the daily running of the store, including opening and closing.
• Assist with stock management, deliveries and replenishment.
• Maintain the overall appearance and organization of the store.
• Ensure visual merchandising and store presentation meet Love Stories' standards.
• Assist with administrative tasks and daily reporting.

Brand Representation

• Represent Love Stories in a natural and enthusiastic way.
• Make sure the store reflects the brand's identity and atmosphere.
• Stay up to date with the collections, products and latest fashion trends.

Requirements

Experience

• 1–2 years of experience in retail, preferably in a senior sales or supervisory position.
• Experience in fashion, premium retail or lingerie is a plus.

Skills

• Strong communication and people skills.
• A natural ability to support and motivate a team.
• Well-organized, proactive and hands-on.
• Commercial mindset with a focus on achieving sales targets.
• Able to take initiative and work independently.
• Experience with POS systems and basic store administration.

Passion

• A genuine interest in fashion, lingerie and lifestyle.
• An eye for styling and visual merchandising.
• Enjoy creating a great customer experience.
• A good understanding of the Love Stories brand and its identity.

Flexibility & Language

• Flexible availability, including weekendd.
• Fluent in English.
• Dutch is a plus.
